About FP7 NANOSAT
European Union's 7th Framework Programme's coordination and support action project SPA.2012.3.5-01 NANOSAT - Utilizing the potential of NANOSATellites for the implementation of European Space Policy and space innovation aims at contributing to a roadmap for space and innovation in Europe through studies and events in support of highly capable small satellites and thereby innovative space applications and new business models for space missions in Europe.
The project was launched in January 2013. With the total budget of 498 216 € the project encompasses an effort of 56.55 person-months over a period of 2 years and is being coordinated by the consortium led by Mr. Kristo Reinsalu of Invent Baltics, Estonia.
NANOSAT brings together five partners from four countries, in particular: Estonia, Germany, Denmark, and Sweden. NANOSAT consists of three industrial partners (Invent Baltics OÜ, OHB System AG, NANOSPACE AB), one research institute (Tartu Observatory), and one academic partner (Aalborg University).
